Imagine for a moment having to load-up the trusty-old motorboat and making the journey to your quaint little cottage at the far-end of the lake. In 2000 a merger of the municipalities Mont-Tremblant,  Lac-Tremblant-Nord, Saint-Jovite, and the parish of Saint-Jovite created the city of Mont Tremblant. But, after a very short term, the municipality of Lac-Tremblant-Nord opted-out. Via a referendum they returned to their former status as an autonomous municipality in 2006.

As a natural retreat, you will find no better place to while-away the long summer days along the shores of one of Canada’s finest lakes. One quick journey up the lake says it all. The rugged shoreline, the quaint little cottages and the natural beauty of a place without electricity and roads makes this a place that you want to return to again and again.
