Imagine for a moment having to load-up the trusty-old motorboat and making the journey to your quaint little cottage at the far-end of the lake. Chances are that this will probably never change, cause ‘it’s the way it is and it’s the way people like it’. With a permanent population of around 25, this is one of the most unique and affluent towns you will ever find. A cozy little one bedroom cabin, on its own 2-3 acre island will fetch around $1.5 million—and, if your lucky, you might get an interior boat-slot at the municipal dock!

In 2000 a merger of the municipalities Mont-Tremblant, Lac-Tremblant-Nord, Saint-Jovite, and the parish of Saint-Jovite created the city of Mont Tremblant. But, after a very short term, the municipality of Lac-Tremblant-Nord opted-out. Via a referendum they returned to their former status as an autonomous municipality in 2006.
As a natural retreat, you will find no better place to while-away the long summer days along the shores of one of Canada’s finest lakes. One quick journey up the lake says it all. The rugged shoreline, the quaint little cottages and the natural beauty of a place without electricity and roads makes this a place that you want to return to again and again.

This is a place beyond compare. And it’s surely a place that you want to pass-on from one generation to the next.
